Kathmandu, June 4
The
ninth edition of the Furniture Expo 2023 will be
held in the capital's Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Centre from September 27 to
October 1 this year.
The
expo is the flagship event of Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Association
(NFFA).
The
NFFA informed in a statement on Sunday that more than 50 per cent of the stalls
of the exhibition venue have been already booked.
Dinesh
Agarwal, President of the association, said that the expo is going to be organised
with the aim of bringing the goods and services produced in Nepal under one
roof for the upliftment of Nepal's furniture and furnishing sector. "When
the economic activities are slowing down, we believe that the expo will help to
keep the market running," he said.
According
to Nikunj Agrawal, coordinator of the expo, there will be more than 100 stalls
in the expo. He said that the expo will mainly focus on furniture and
furnishing materials, manufacturers, importers, distributors, machinery and
technology transfer, dealers and businessmen.
It
will provide a common platform for national and international brands to guide
them in an easy way to reach the consumers and play a role in providing the
customers with the latest products and information from the sector.
We
also aim to provide a common platform to furniture and furnishing material
manufacturers, machinery suppliers, importers, distributors, dealers, interior
designers, startups and people interested in working in the furniture industry,
said Agrawal.
