Kathmandu, June 14
IME Limited, the largest remittance company in Nepal, has
completed 22 years in business.
On the occasion, the company organised various social and
intra-company programmes to mark its entry to its 23rd year.
At a programme organised in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Hem Raj
Dhakal, Co-Founder and Managing Director of IME Group, said that IME was committed
to contributing to the formal economy of the country through remittances by legal
means and would diversify its businesses and expand investments.
According to him, customer's choices, needs and markets
are changing therefore, the remittance service should be made more sophisticated,
convenient and secure by using the latest technology.
Suman Pokharel, Director of IME Limited and Senior Vice-President
of IME Group, said that by promoting the ecosystem of the digital economy and
maximum use of Fintech, the remittance service will be made more sophisticated,
simple and diversified.
Likewise, the Chief Executive Officer of IME Limited,
Khilendra Paudel, said that the company would move forward by directly
connecting with the daily life of ordinary citizens through its diversified
services.
IME has around 12,000 sub-agents in 77 districts
including 225 IME centres and branches of banks and financial institutions.
