Do you have investment-friendly idea?

Do you have an investment-friendly idea related to infrastructure sector of Nepal or are you looking for a platform to present your ideas about bankable infrastructure projects?
If your answer is 'yes', you have an opportunity unfolding!
The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has called for infrastructural development ideas from various backgrounds such as transportation, irrigation, energy, housing, information technology, hydro, railways and communication, with an aim to make their investment viable and provide support to find sources for financing such projects.
The submitted ideas will be screened on the basis of their importance for the country's development, innovation, creativity, feasibility and sustainability.
"Out of all ideas submitted, the 10 best ideas will be selected and they will be made investment ready projects through a three-day incubation workshop at the Kathmandu University School of Management," informed the CNI.
According to CNI president Hari Bhakta Sharma, the best 10 ideas will have an opportunity to be presented at the Nepal Infrastructure Summit 2017, which is being held in Kathmandu on February 19 and 20.
The best three possible ideas will be awarded at a special session of the Summit.
They will also have an opportunity to participate in a national level incubation programme by Idea Studio.
The CNI said that the ideas should incorporate the benefits associated with the project – locally or nationally, and might include policy reforms related with those sectors.
"If possible, ideas should include the basic characteristics of the projects such as the gestation period, estimated cost and benefits, implementation strategy," read a statement issued by the CNI.
Termed as the 'Infrastructure Idea Hunt', the campaign is an initiation taken by the CNI in association with Idea Studio Nepal to provide encouragement and opportunities to those who have innovative ideas and are willing to share them.
Interested candidates can submit their ideas online at www.nepalinfrastructuresummit.com by  January27, 2017.
"Infrastructure Idea Hunt is campaign which aims to provide encouragement and opportunities to those who are willing to share their innovative ideas related to infrastructural development in order to solve the socio-economic hurdles currently faced by the nation," said Sharma.
He said that the objective behind Idea Hunt was to increase general public engagement to identify problems and come up with possible innovative solutions to address infrastructure deficits.
Infrastructure Summit is being jointly organised by the CNI, government and Youth Community for Nepalese Contractors (YCNC).

According to the CNI, the summit combines conference, exhibitions, project investment seminars and business trade mission, creating a platform for all concerned industrial players to share knowledge and to expand business contracts.
