Kathmandu, Dec. 5: Umang
Agrawal has been elected to the post of president of Nepal Peru Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (NPCCI).
Youth
entrepreneur Agrawal is director of MS Group.
Along with Agrawal,
the fifth Annual General Assembly of the NPCCI has elected a 15-member working
committee of the bilateral chamber of commerce.
Elected members
include Rakesh Kumar Sarawagi, Gaurav Agrawal, Kumar Khatiwada, Sanjay Kumar
Khetan, Nirmal Raj Poudel, Lalita Agrawal, Kunja Bihari More, Krishna Dhanawat,
Sandip Khetan, Sanjaya Agrawal, Mittal Som Gurung, Dinesh Goyal, Anil Agrawal,
Sandip Garg, Rajesh Tulsyan and Atul Sarawagi.
Peruvian
Ambassador to Nepal Jorge Castaneda Mendez expressed his belief that the NPCCI
would play an important role in deepening the relations between the two
countries.
Nepal exports
jute, yarn, tea, carpet, pashmina, medicinal plants and leather goods to Peru.
Mendez pledged
support in facilitating the export of more goods from Nepal to Peru.
Peru is the sixth largest gold producer, second in silver, third in
copper and zinc, and tenth in coffee.
