Kathmandu, Dec. 13:
IMS Motors
launched SsangYong Motor’s Rexton, a mid-size SUV manufactured by the Korean
automaker, in the Nepali market Wednesday.
Executive
chairman of IMS Group Deepak Malhotra and president and Chief Executive Officer
of the Company Dikesh Malhotra unveiled the new vehicle amidst a programme.
The SUV comes
with a choice of 6 speed manual and 7 speed automatic transmissions for Rs.
11.199 million and Rs. 11.999 million respectively.
It uses an eXDi
220 diesel engine and a Mercedes Benz 7 speed automatic transmission.
Rexton is based
on 4WD technology, however, the drivers may use rear wheel drive mode for
riding comfort and efficient fuel combination, said the company.
It has nine air
bags, uses quad body frame, and comes with electronic brake-force distribution
with anti-lock brakes, anti rollover protection, hill assist system, hill
decent control, all disc brakes and daytime running laps.
