People with skills are needed at the right place: Nepal


Kathmandu, Apr. 15:
Former Prime Minister and senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said on Sunday that in order to succeed in the development process, the country needs people with good qualification and skills at the right place. 

“If the incompetent persons were not given responsibility, the respective company or the country would surely fail,” he said at an interaction on ‘Role of Youth for Development and economic Prosperity of the Nation, organised by Pushpalal Memorial Foundation. 

Nepal is chairman of the foundation. 

He said that it was difficult to find suitable and positive people and encourage them to be involved in development process. 

“We need enterprising youth. There is a need to organise interactions, exchanges, knowledge sharing and innovation camps to enhance the skill and knowledge in youth,” said Nepal. 

Guest speaker Sawati Sureka urged the youth to achieve success in their professional field and make impact on the society. 

She said that these were the youth who could convert their weakness into strength. 

Lawmaker Pushpa Karna said that youth were the change makers. 

According to her, entrepreneurship is the requisite for the youth development and economic progress.
