Kathmandu,
July 8: Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Expo 2018 will be organised at the
Bhrikutimandap Exhibhtion Centre from August 30 to September 3 this year.
The
sixth edition of the expo will be ‘Home Décor Special’, said the organiser, Nepal
Furnitures and Furnishing Association (NFFA), at a press conference organised
here to inform about the expo.
It
said that the modern lifestyle and housing had led to an increase in the demand
of good interior design and the expo would be a suitable destination to have
better understanding about the design, get the new concepts and products, and
have an expert’s opinion.
Kitchen,
bedroom, bathroom and outdoor furniture, interior designer, carpets and marbles
would be major attractions at the expo. Similarly, mattress, decoration goods,
home décor, office furniture, home appliances, machineries and vastu products will be available in the
fair.
We
not only display the furniture and related goods in the fair but also inform
the visitors about their utility, use and design. Apart from it, we also aim to
introduce new technology in furniture production and make the country
self-reliant in it, said Rajesh Agrawal, President of the NFFA.
He
urged the Nepali customers to keep domestic products in priority while buying
furniture.
Coordinator
of the expo Subhendra Joshi said that both the customers and businesspersons
would be benefitted from the expo.
There
will be more than 100 stalls of furniture and furnishing goods in the expo that
will run for five days. It is a flagship event of the NFFA.
The
furniture and furnishing goods has about Rs. 30 billion market in Nepal.
