Kathmandu, Feb. 28
President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of
Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has urged Israeli
investors to explore investment opportunities in Nepal.
Making this request through Israeli Ambassador to
Nepal, Shmulik Arie Bass during a meeting at the FNCCI Secretariat in Teku on
Thursday, Dhakal highlighted immense investment opportunities for foreign
investors in Nepal.
"Nepal has immense investment potential in
agriculture, tourism, energy, and information technology. Both countries can
benefit from these opportunities in trade and industry. Therefore, I urge
Israeli investors, through the Ambassador, to consider investing in
Nepal," he said.
The discussions were focused on strengthening
bilateral relations, economic development, and trade promotion between the two
countries.
In response, Ambassador Bass expressed his commitment
to contributing to Nepal’s economic and social development during his tenure.
"Israel has been a long-time friend of Nepal,
collaborating in various sectors. In particular, through small farmers'
cooperatives, we have provided opportunities for Nepali workers in Israel,
benefiting Nepali farmers significantly," he said.
He further emphasised his willingness to enhance
cooperation with FNCCI, stating that efforts would be made to make future
collaborations more effective.
