ICM organizes seminar on crisis

Kathmandu, Feb. 2: With an aim of providing a forum for exchanging knowledge about the role of information in disaster, Institute of Crisis Management organized a workshop on 'Collective awareness platforms for sustainability and social innovation for making crises resilient community'.
"The workshop has helped to increase network among government officials, academic researchers and members of international community who share commitment to building resilience to disasters and specifically empowering local communities through information exchange," said Ram Thapaliya, chairman of the Institute.
The workshop was organised in collaboration with Comrades project, Open University, UK, University of Agder, Sheffield University, Suhahidi and Government To You, and supported by the European Commission under Horizon 2020 Scheme.

The two-day workshop was inaugurated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, and concluded by Minister for Industry Nabindra raj Joshi.
