“We have launched this
product with the objective of providing its customers with added facilities.
Through this service, mobile banking users of the bank can easily transfer fund
to all commercial banks and 68 other banks and financial institutions associated
with Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL),” the bank said in a press statement.
NIC Asia is the first
bank to offer this service.
The newly launched
service facilitates mobile banking users to transfer up to Rs. 25,000 per
transaction and maximum Rs. 100,000 a day.
The bank said that the
mobile banking application of the bank – MO Bank – can be downloaded from Google
Play and App Store.
NCHL-IPS is a system to safely and efficiently transfer funds from one
account to any other account held at any of the participating member banks and
financial institutions (BFIs). According to the NCHL, it supports account to account payments (Direct Credit) and collection (Direct Debit) related transactions.
NCHL-IPS currently supports transaction in four currencies – Nepalese rupees, US dollars, Great Britain pound and Euro.
