Chandragiri Hills prepares protocols to resume service

Kathmandu, Jul 4

Chandragiri Hills Limited has prepared itinerary and safety measures to operate the religious activities at the Bhaleshwor Temple and run business atop the hill, a major tourist destination in Kathmandu.

It demonstrated the process to the media persons on Friday.

“We have prepared the procedures to be followed by the visitors and staff when the business reopens,” said Abhishek Bikram Shah, Genaral Manager of the company.

The safety note includes 10 phases of activities to be followed after arriving at the bottom station of the cable car and boarding it, worshipping at the Bhaleshwor Temple and having food at the restaurants.

"All our cafes and restaurants and buffets are closed but we are offering a selection of street food just below the temple area. There will be queues with social distancing circles for payment and food collection," said the company.

Likewise, the Bhaleshwor Temple will be open for visitors. Visitors can queue up in the social distancing circle to meet the priests and offer worship but they will not get tika and additional prasad.

All the areas which see a large number of footfalls are marked with circles at 2 metres distance while hotel guests will be sanitized. Temperature of the visitors and hotel guests will also be checked. Everybody should use hand sanitizer. The gondolas of the cable cars will be frequently sanitized and disinfected, the company informed.
