LGI announces bonus shares of Rs. 85.8 million

Kathmandu, Jul 8

Lumbini General Insurance Company has announced to distribute bonus shares of Rs. 85.8 million and cash dividend of Rs. 4.2 million for tax purpose.

Company's 15th Annual General Assembly held in Kathmandu on Wednesday had approved the bonus shares from the profit of the last fiscal year 2018/19.

The bonus shares are 8.12 per cent of the Rs. 1.56 billion paid up capital of the company.

The AGM organnised with safety measures against the COVID-19 was chaired by chairman of the company Manohar Das Mool.

The meeting has elected Ganesh Raj Regmi and Kamal Bhattarai to the board of directors of the company.

It has increased the insurance premium by 8 per cent in the last fiscal year to make it Rs. 1.36 billion, said company Secretary Devendra Koirala.
