Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has wished for
speedy recovery of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan who is tested positive for
COVID-19 and admitted to a hospital.
“I wish for an early recovery of famous
actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek,” PM Oli tweeted on Sunday.
The father and son were diagnosed with COVID-19
positive on Saturday. They are admitted at Nanawati Hospital in Mumbai.
Indian media have reported that Abhishek’s
spouse actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aradhya were also tested
positive for virus.
The actor-duo had tweeted about their
health update at midnight on Saturday. Amitabh’s more than 43 million tweeter
followers have expressed wishes for his recovery.
“I have tested COVID positive… shifted to
hospital... hospital informing authorities… family and staff undergone tests,
results awaited... all that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10
days are requested to please get themselves tested,” the Bollywood superstar
tweeted.
