Sept. 17: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna
Bahadur Mahara Sunday said that bilateral relations between Nepal and China
would be more cordial through cultural exchanges.
Addressing
a programme organised by the Embassy of China in Kathmandu, he said, “Huge
efforts were made to make the relations affectionate following the
establishment of the Nepal-China Cultural and Educational Council.”
He
said that the cultural and educational activities had also contributed to
tourism development in the country.
According
to him, the visit of Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Yang was an important event to
further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two neighbours.
“I
am confident that the Belt and Road Initiative will support the development of
roads and railway infrastructure in Nepal,” he said.
