Kathmandu, Nov. 25: Civil
Bank Limited is distributing blankets in an old age home, conducting blood
donation programmes and launching financial literacy programmes on the occasion
of its 7th anniversary.
According to a press
statement issued by the bank on Saturday, the bank will also be providing
scholarships to the meritorious students of government schools from different
locations throughout the country, on its anniversary day on Sunday.
Civil Bank has earned
Rs. 113.3 million profit during the first quarter of the current fiscal year,
about 679 per cent up as compared to the corresponding period last year.
It has recently called
for 40 per cent right shares to increase the capital to Rs. 8 billion including
that of capital reserve and the profit of last FY.
"The bank is
extending its branch network to five new locations within this quarter,
reaching the number of branches to 58 across the country," said the bank's
Chief Executive Officer Govinda Gurung.
