Kathmandu, Mar. 8: Frost and Sullivan is organising growth,
innovation and leadership summit ‘GIL South Asia 2018’ on March 15 in
Kathmandu.
The summit will deliberate on how innovation has become
imperative for organisations to implement concrete strategies around digital
transformation for sustainable revenue and growth across South Asia, said the
organiser.
“South Asia has shown great potential and the introduction to
digital technologies will boost growth and expand opportunities that will
accelerate the pace of development in the region,” said Aroop Zutshi, Global
President and Managing Partner of the Company.
Frost and Sullivan said that ‘2018: GIL Leadership Award’
will be given to Dr. Sanduk Ruit, Executive Director of the Tilganga Institute
of Ophthalmology, for social impact through affordable healthcare.
One of the founders of the TIO, Dr. Ruit has worked toward
restoring the sight of more than 100,000 people across Asia and Africa by using
small-incision cataract surgery.
“The award recognises accomplished global leaders who over
the course of their career have demonstrated significant excellence in driving
growth, innovation and leadership through their personal contributions and
efforts in the industry, along with a significant social impact,” said the
company.
Similarly, it will also recognise the region’s most
innovative companies for their accomplishments in areas of innovation and
advanced technologies that will catalyze and transform industries in the near
future.

Non-Resident Nepali Association Dr. Upendra Mahato, Executive Member of SAARC
