Kathmandu,
Mar. 24: Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) handed over prefab building of health
posts in Dhulikhel, Panauti and Banepa municipalities in Kaveepalanchowk
district the other day.
The NRCS
has constructed the building of the health posts and residential buildings that
were destroyed in the devastating Gorkha Earthquake 2015 and handed them to the
respective municipalities along with various health equipment, said the NRCS.
Society’s
Chairman Sanjiv Thapa inaugurated Rabiopi Health Post in Dhulikhel-1, Ryale
Health Post in Panauti - 1 and Mahendra Jyoti Health Post in Banepa-12.

of Dhulikhel Bimala Sharma, Mayor of Panauti Bhim Neupane and Mayor of Banepa Laxmi
Narsingh Bade received the key and the certificates of the buildings amidst a
ceremony on Friday.
The total
cost of building construction and equipment management was Rs. 23.5 million.
Jagannath
KC and Padam KC, who donated more than 1 ropani of land to the Mahendra Jyoti
Health Post, were felicitated on the occasion.
According
to chief of the District Health Office Dr. Surendra Chaurasiya, of the 37
buildings of health facilities being constructed, 16 have been built.
NRCS said
that the buildings were built with the financial support from the Korean Red
Cross, nine other health facilities are being built in the district.
ANM of
Rabiopi Samjhana Acharya said that the health post was being run from a room of
a primary school, and it was quite difficult to handle counselling for the
family planning and against the domestic violence.
She said
that the service seekers had to be taken to a corner of the school playground
in order to listen to their grievances.
