Kishor Pradhan elected FNCCI Vice-President



Kathmandu, Mar. 9: Entrepreneur Kishor Kumar Pradhan has been elected to the post of the vice-president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
A Special Assembly of the FNCCI Friday elected him to the vice president, District-Municipal Chamber.
He got 65 votes while his opponent Nirak KC got 33 votes. KC is a working committee member of the organisation.
Pradhan had held the same post in 2014-2017.
The post had remained vacant after the erstwhile vice president Pramod Shrestha filed his candicacy for the the post of mayor of Beni Municipality in Myagdi district during the local elections last year.
According to the FNCCI statute, if the executive committee member involves in active politics or assumes any political posts, the post automatically goes vacant.
President of the FNCCI Bhawani Rana administered the office of oath and secrecy to Pradhan also on Friday.
She said that the working committee of the organisation has come to the full shape and her team would work round the clock to lead the country in the path of economic progress and development.
Newly elected vice president Pradhan said that he would work to develop the FNCCI as per the new federal structure of the country.
