Kathmandu, June 16
The National
Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has extended the deadline of the re-survey of
the quake-damaged house till the end of June 2019.
The extension came as
some quake hit houses were not included in the past surveys.
The re-survey being
conducted to collect data of the households that complained of not being
included in the beneficiaries' lists although their houses were completely
damaged in the devastating 2015 Gorkha Earthquake.
The reconstruction body
had planned to conclude the survey by Saturday, 15 June. "But the work
could not be concluded in all the districts in the set time. So we have
extended the deadline for two weeks," said the Deputy Spokesperson of the
NRA Manohar Ghimire.
He said that in order to address the complaint registered to the NRA by
Saturday, the deadline was extended.
The central information system of the NRA has received about 60,000
compliant so far from the quake affected districts.
The reconstruction body
has also urged the quake-affected families to support the technicians mobilised
in the field and get their damaged house surveyed.
He has also urged the
representatives of the local governments to help in collecting the real data of
the victims and not to include those families that have another undamaged house
in the survey.
It has also warned that
if non-victim families were recommended for the housing grant, the person who
recommended would be punished.
This survey will only
include those families who were not included in the previous surveys.
