FM Gyawali urges foreign investors to invest in Nepal

Kathmandu, Sept. 14

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Tuesday urged the international investors to make investment in Nepal. He also assured safety of investment and good return from it.

Speaking at a seminar organised by the Ex-Parliamentarians' Forum, he said that Nepal was a 'virgin land' for investment as most of the business and investment areas are waiting for investment of various scale.

Minister Gyawali presented political stability, cheap labour force, and availability of energy and market as the key factors for the investment in Nepal.

"You have large economies on either side of Nepal as the markets which open avenue for good return," he tried to assure the investors.

Stating that Nepal had given priority to economic diplomacy to make the country's economy strong, he urged the international community to support Nepal in achieving the national aim of 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'.

The foreign minister urged the foreign delegates to support Nepal in making the Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success.

He also said that the country was playing a leading role in the areas of human rights.

"Nepal is moving ahead with its much cherished 'non-aligned foreign policy'. At the domestic front, the government is trying to promote democracy, economic development and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," he said.
