IME organises remittance literacy programmes

 Kathmandu, Jan. 3

Remittance service provider company IME has orgnised remittance literacy programmes in all seven provinces to raise awareness among the stakeholders and people.

"Business partners and people from each province enthusiastically attended the event, which was conducted in all seven provinces since mid-November 2023," the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The literacy programmes were focused on remittance and its usage, safe transfer of the amount received as remittance, attention needed to by the customer while sending and receiving money, and digital remittance services.

According to the company, since its inception, IME has been committed to bringing remittance services to the reach of every Nepali, with the aim of protecting workers in foreign employment and self-employed service clients abroad, as well as their hard-earned money at home.

The company is running in its 23rd year in operation and providing remittance services from 225 IME centres, 12,000 sub-agents and branches of the banks and financial institutions in 77 districts across the country.
