Preparations for CAN InfoTech 2025 in final stage

Kathmandu, Feb. 2

Preparations for the  30th edition of CAN InfoTech 2025 have reached the final stage.

CAN Info Tech will be held at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Centre in Kathmandu, from February 6 to 10.

The Computer Association of Nepal Federation (CAN Federation) at a press conference on Sunday announced that the CAN InfoTech would serve as a platform to showcase the latest advancements in information and communication technology (ICT) and to facilitate meaningful discussions for the sector’s development.

President of CAN Federation, Sunaina Ghimire Pandey, said that the exhibition would reflect Nepal’s technological progress and support the nation’s Digital Nepal initiative. “We believe that the latest technologies on display, along with innovations developed to meet local market demands, will contribute to Nepal’s digital transformation,” she said.

Stating that the Federation is working in close collaboration with the government on policy matters, she expressed confidence that a collective effort is key to realising the vision of Digital Nepal.

Tickets for CAN InfoTech are available for online purchase. The entry fee is Rs. 100 for the general public and Rs. 50 for students. However, senior citizens, differently-abled individuals, children aged below 10 years and groups from government and community schools (with official recommendation) will be granted free entry.

According to General Secretary of the CAN Federation, Chandra Bilash Bhurtel, the event will feature national and international ICT companies, alongside CAN Federation member organisations.

He said that InfoTech provides ICT companies with a unique opportunity to expand their market presence, understand consumer demands, conduct market research, launch new products and strengthen customer relations.

Interactive discussions on ICT-related topics will also be held throughout the event.

The exhibition will feature branding and ICT accessories, gaming zones, product launches, start-up showcase, robotics and emerging technologies, e-governance displays, women entrepreneurs in ICT, Wi-Fi and internet solutions, learning centres and national ID card enrolment services.

Additionally, the Information Security Response Team Nepal (NPCERT) will set up a Cyber Security Help Desk to assist with cybersecurity issues.

Likewise, Auto Self-Driving Car Exhibition, an advanced STEM learning tool designed to educate visitors on autonomous vehicle systems, artificial intelligence (AI), sensor technology, and programming will also be an additional highlight of the event.

Similarly, the DataBot Personal Assistant AI will offer students hands-on experience with data science, sensor technology, AI and robotics.

CAN InfoTech 2025 will feature around 150 stalls, of which over 120 have already been booked. The organisers anticipate a footfall of approximately 350,000 visitors at this year’s event.
