NBL provides 850,000 to Melamchi and Chame

Kathmandu, July 15

Nepal Bank Limited has provided relief to the flood victims of Melamchi in Sindhupalchok district.

It provided Rs. 450,000 to Melamchi Municipality as per its Corporate Social Responsibility to support the flood affected people.

Floods caused by heavy rain and landslides last month devastated Melamchi market area and displaced hundreds of people.

Likewise, it provided Rs. 400,000 to Chame Rural Muncipality in Manang district.

People in Chame were badly affected by the floods in the Marsyangdi River and its tributaries. The floods have severely damaged houses and other infrastructures in Chame market and surrounding areas.
