Deal signed for agro credit facilitation

 Kathmandu, Dec. 21

Global IME Bank Limited and Rajdhani Dairy Pvt. Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the facilitation of agricultural credit.

Ratna Raj Bajracharya, Chief Executive Officer of GIBL and Rajkumar Dahal, chairman of Rajdhani Dairy signed the MoU at a programme on Wednesday.

According to the agreement, GIBL will provide concessional loans to the milk producing farmers in Bethanchok Rural Municipality and surrounding areas in Kavrepalanchok district on the recommendation of Rajdhani Dairy.

It is expected that this programme will help farmers in rural areas who are involved agricultural business in developing capital and technical skills become entrepreneurs, the bank said in a statement. It will help connect farmers with production through dairy business, create more jobs and create self-employment.

GIBL has been providing services to more than 3 million customers from more than 890 service centers including 292 branches, 270 ATMs, 275 branchless banking services, 51 extension and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices.
