Turkey ready to open embassy in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Dec. 9

Nepal and Turkey have agreed to open Turkish embassy in Kathmandu in near future.

In a telephone conversation between Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Narayan Khadka and his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on Friday afternoon the two ministers agreed to establish the Turkish mission here. 

"In view of the growing relations between the two countries, the two ministers agreed to open the Turkish embassy in Kathmandu in the near future," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a statement.

According to the MoFA, the two ministers exchanged views on a wide range of issues of mutual interests.

Discussions were also focused on various matters relating to further strengthening of Nepal-Turkey bilateral relations, read the statement.
