Bank Limited has launched eight new branchless banking services from Friday.
The service is
launched in Dhanushadham Municipality-9, Dharapani in Dhanusha district, Manra
Shiswa Municipality-1 in Mahottari district, Musikot Municipality-4, Badagaon
and Musikot-2, Deurali, Katari Municipality-2, Garans of Udaipur district.
Similarly, the
branchless banking is launched in Panini Rural Municipality-6, Dhatiwang in Arghakhanchi
district, Shivraj Municipality-9, Baniabhar in Kapilvastu district and Chuha
Municipality-7 of Kailali district.
With the
launch of these branchless banking services, the number of branchless banking
services of the bank has reached 283.
Bishal Kumar
Bhujel, a local, will run branchless banking service in Dharapani under
Dhalkebar branch, Shah General Store in Manara Shiswa under Bardibas branch, while
Badagaon will come under Wami branch and local Bom Bahadur Chantel will run it.
Madan Deep
Ghimire has been appointed as a representative for branchless banking services
in Musikot, Deurali which comes under Wami branch.
Similarly, the
bank has appointed local Raj Kumar Karki for branchless banking services in
Garans under Katari branch, Maniram Paudel in Dhatiwang under Pokharathok
branch, Jayanti Giri in Baniabhar under Chandauta branch and Jai Bahadur Khatri
in Haraiyapur under Lamki branch.
From
branchless banking services, local residents can get banking services through
local representatives. From this, they can open a bank account, deposit and
withdraw funds up to a specified limit, get information about the balance in
their account, pay loan interest, and pay utility bills.
GIBL has more
than 900 service centres including 292 branch network and three international
contact offices.
