GO to organize Kart Racing

Kathmandu, June 16: On the occasion of the 113th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company, GO Ford – distributor of Ford motor vehicles in Nepal – is organizing GO Kart Racing for Ford Owners on 25th June.
The company Thursday celebrated the 113th Anniversary of the company.
“Entry for the racing will be free of cost for all Ford owners and registration will be done on first come first serve basis. Apart from race, there will be other fun activities like human swing, hover-board, melt down and food and drink stalls,” said the company in a press statement.
GO Ford is holding its annual Heritage Month celebration in June to honour the company’s rich 113 year history.
According to the company, Ford’s racing heritage dates back as far as 1901, before the inception of Ford Motor Company in 1903. Henry Ford, founder of the company, knew that racing fascinated the public, so he took the chance and raced in his 26-horsepower Sweepstake against the greatest driver of that time, Alexander Winton.
“Henry Ford won cash prize of 1,000 USD and in combination with financial support from investors he founded the Ford Motor Company few years later,” informed the company.

Ford entered the Nepalese market in 2010. There are 11 Ford sales and service outlets as well as 1 quicklane service centre.
