Kathmandu,
Aug 9: The organisers have rescheduled the opening of the Furniture and
Furnishing Expo-2018 for September 20.
The

clashed with the BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectorial

summit will be held in Kathmandu on August 30 and 31 while Senior Officials’
Meeting and Ministerial Meeting will be held on 28 and 29 of August.
“The
five-day expo is rescheduled as the traffic might be disturbed due to the
movement of VIP guests,” said Nepal Furniture and Furnishing Association, the
organiser of the event.
The
association said that more than 90 per cent stalls in the exhibition had been
booked.
The
sixth edition of the expo will be organised at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition
Centre and will be ‘Home Décor Special’.
According
to the organiser, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom
and outdoor furniture, interior designer, carpets and marbles would be major
attractions at the expo. Similarly, mattress, decoration goods, home décor,
office furniture, home appliances, machineries and vastu products
will be available in the fair.
"We also aim to introduce new technology in furniture
production and make the country self-reliant in it," said Rajesh Agrawal,
President of the NFFA.
There will be more than 100 stalls of furniture and
furnishing goods in the expo, the flagship event of the NFFA.
