Buddha Air adds 12th plane to its fleet


Kathmandu, Mar. 19: Buddha Air has added 12th ATR  72-500 aircraft to its fleet.
The new plane, with the call sign 9N AMY, landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 8:30 PM on Monday.

 With this addition, Buddha Air has seven ATR 72-500, three ATR 42-320 and two Beach craft 1900D aircrafts. 

The new aircraft will start its commercial operation from the next month, after painting and other technical preparations.

"We will increase domestic as well as international flights with the new aircraft," said the company. It is planning to use the new aircraft to operate flights to and fro Kolkata from May 27.

A team of the company had flown to ATR company in Toulouse, France, last week to bring in the new plane.
