Mach 24 Orbitals gets entry to Nvidia Inception Programme

Kathmandu, May 17

Mach24 Orbitals, a Nepali space-tech startup, has been accepted into the Nvidia Inception Programme, an international initiative supporting emerging companies harnessing artificial intelligence.

"This marks a significant milestone for Nepal’s growing technology sector and space exploration ambitions," the company said in a statement.

According to it, the selection follows Mach24’s recent presentation at Startup Mahakumbh 2025 in New Delhi, where its hybrid-rocket prototype drew attention from global aerospace stakeholders. The company plans to utilise AI technologies to accelerate the development of Nepal’s first orbital-class rocket.

Nvidia, a global leader in AI computing and GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) technology, launched the Inception Programme to assist innovative startups through technical resources and business support.

"Inclusion in the programme provides Mach24 with access to tools that will enhance rocket-engine simulations and trajectory design, potentially reducing development and testing timeframes," read the statement.

This development arrives as Mach24 prepares for a 100 km suborbital test flight later this year, with an orbital launch targeted for 2029. The company’s efforts signal a broader shift in Nepal’s technological capabilities and aspirations, traditionally overshadowed by limited infrastructure and resources in the aerospace sector.

“For a Nepali startup to enter this global league is proof that we have what it takes to compete. This is a moment of national pride,” said Himalaya Adhikari, Co-founder and Chief of Operations at Mach24 Orbitals. As space-tech continues to evolve globally, Mach24’s journey may help place Nepal on the map as an emerging player in the field.
