Kathmandu, Aug 6
The
Federatin of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has decided to
create a modility to organise the 54th Annual General Assembly and
election.
The
business body has created a new committee to look into the matter amidst the rising
coronavirus cases and growing fear to hold the mass assembly.
Earlier,
the programmes were scheduled for 10-11 August. The committee is represented by
the Executive Committee members of the organisation DB Basnet, Arun Raj
Sumargi, Sunil Gopal Shrestha, Binod Dhakal, Ranjit Raj Acharya and Bharat Raj
Acharya.
In a
meeting last week, Executive Committee members of the FNCCI had demanded to
call a meeting to discuss about the organisation of the AGM and election.
The
newly-formed committee will discuss with the government ministries and
agencies, COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre, entrepreneus, health experts and
other stakeholders regarding the issue and submit a report to the FNCCI.
The
FNCCI will discuss on the report and take decisions about its future moves.
