Fonepay to support the ventilator bank

 Kathmandu, Aug 16

Fonepay Service Limited has launched an initiative to provide financial support to Nepal Ventilator Bank's aim to provide 1,000 ventilators to the government in 100 days.

For this, the company will contribute Rs. 1 from every interbank transaction made in the Fonepay platform.

Chairman of F1soft Group Bishwas Dhakal and Bank's Chairman Niranjan Shrestha signed a memorandum of understanding to this effect on Sunday. The campaign will run for a month from Sunday, the first day of Nepali month Bhadra.

We are happy to make the contribution to the campaign to arrange ventilator during this difficult time of coronavirus pandemic, it will be instrumental in saving the lives of people, said Dhakal.

Currently, there are only 600 ventilators in Nepal but various studies have pointed to the need of about 3000 – 5000 such machines.
