Global IME Bank
Limited and Nepal Institute for Development Studies (NIDS) have signed a
memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide concessional loans and financial
literacy and entrepreneurship training to the individuals of target community
and areas.
As per the MoU,
signed on Friday, GIBL will provide concessional loan to returnee migrant
workers, families dependent on migrant workers, youth rescued from human
trafficking and other relevant persons on the recommendations of the NIDS.
Chief
Executive Officer of the bank Ratna Raj Bajracharya and Executive Director of
the NIDS Chiranjivi Baral have signed the MoU.
GIBL
has 280 branches in 76 district, 250 ATMs, 257 branchless banking service, 47
extension and revenue collection counters and three representative offices in
foreign countries.
It
is also contributing to the remittance from the countries like the United
States of America, United Kingdom, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia,
Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, India, Jordan and Hong Kong.
