Ten Nepali migrants return from Afghanistan

Kathmandu, Sept 2

Nepali migrant workers continue to return to their home from Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) informed that additional 10 Nepalis arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday and Thursday. “Six individual came to Kathmandu via regular flight of Fly Dubai and two via Qatar Airways on Wednesday evening. Likewise, two migrants returned to the country from Qatar Airways’ regular flight on Thursday,” read the statement.

With this, the total number of Nepalis rescued from Afghanistan has reached 857 while the MoFA is working to get back additional people from the war-torn country.

Nepali nationals who are in Afghanistan and have not registered their names at the portal of the Department of Consular Services (DoCS) -- https://nepalconsular.gov.np/ -- can register themselves or ask their families to make an entry of their whereabouts.

The MoFA has requested all concerned people and families to enter the details of themselves or relatives who are in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has also urged the returnee to inform the government through the web portal and the contact numbers when they safely reach their home or other destination.
