Mali unanimously elected GIA president

Kathmandu, Sept 17

Kush Prasad Malli has been unanimously elected to the president of Nepal LP Gas Industry Association. He has served as the senior vice chairman of the association in the last working committee.

The organisation went to the polls to choose its president as former president Sawarmal Agrawal and industrialist Bijaya Hari Sharma also announced their candidacy for the post. However, in an effort to elect unanimous leadership, both of them stepped back for Malli.

According to a statement issued by the association the other day, a committee including incumbent President Gokul Bhandari, Immediate Past President Shiva Prasad Ghimire, Rajendra Dallakoti, Jit Bahadur Karki and Rajendra Kabra was formed to initiate the consensus election.

Dallakoti has been elevated to the post of special member while Shankar Shrestha to the senior vice president.

Likewise, Diwan Chand and Manoj Kumar Das have been elected to the post of vice presidents, Krishna Bhakta Shrestha to general secretay, Dharma Raj Bartaula to treasurer and Ashish Jajodiya to secretary.

Similarly, elected members are: Lokharsha Shakya, Baburam Pokhrel, Sunil Sinha, Manoj Budhathoki, Achyut Nepal, Yuwak Rajbhandari, Sudip Ghimire and Rajkumar Sindhi.
