Yeshodha
Foods has exported its flagship brand 'Current Noodles' worth Rs. 1.3 billion in
a year. It is exporting the noodles to the countries like India, Australia and
America.
It
is introducing the country to the international noodle market by using the
materials and food grains within the country has brought in foreign currency
and has greatly helped the economic development of the country, the company
said in a statement on Tuesday.
The
company is providing employment to around 15,000 people both directly and
indirectly across the country. The company, which started its production from
Rupandehi district's Tilottama Municipality in May 2017 and entered the food
market, has been purchasing agricultural products including Akbare chillies through
more than 10,000 farmers in five districts for the production of current
noodles.
According
to statistics, with the introduction of international standard 'hot noodles' in
Nepal with the entry of Current noodles, import of such items has decreased by
15 per cent.
After
a long research, Yashoda Foods started the production of 'Currant' after being
sure that 'Piro' (hot) noodles produced in Nepal could find a market.
