A new Hotel
Royal Airport has come into operation at Sinamangal in Kathmandu.
The hotel with
an investment of above Rs. 50 million was inaugurated by Minister for Culture,
Tourism and Cooperatives of Bagmati Province, Bimal Thakuri, the other day.
Speaking at the
inauguration programme, Minister Thakuri said that since tourism is an
important sector for the economic development of Nepal, everyone should
contribute to the promotion of this industry.
"I am
always looking forward to the necessary facilitation for businesspeople who are
involved in launching business or creating infrastructure in tourism sector,”
he said.
He also
expressed his commitment to interacting with the young entrepreneurs soon and
take necessary initiatives to promote investment in tourism.
Navraj
Shrestha, a hotelier and President of Hotel Royal Airport, said that a group of
young businessmen from Sindhuli had put this hotel into operation.
There are 34
rooms and 50 beds in the hotel. "This hotel has a conference hall which
can accommodate more than 200 people, and meeting halls. We have brought it
into operation targeting internal and external tourists coming through the
airport," said Shrestha.
