Softwarica College in Kathmandu is gearing up to host 'Tech
X 2024', a technology exhibition set to run from July 30 to August 4.
The event will showcase cutting-edge projects in Artificial
Intelligence (AI), robotics, and cyber security, all created by its student of
Information Technology, informed the college in a statement.
The major highlights of the exhibition are robotic dogs, AI
robots designed for library and airport management, and semi-automatic
warehouse management technologies. A standout feature will be a special robot
that is developed with an AI system to analyse password-cracking attempts by
students.
According to the college, the exhibition will also feature
over 30 innovative projects, such as the AI Robotic Teacher, Banking Robot,
Tour Guide Robot, Robot Football, AI Assistant for Eye Hospital, Robotic
Waiter, and Robot War.
Similarly, a significant event within the exhibition will be
the launch of the 'Robot Warriors League 2024.' This league will see more than
40 robot battle bots built by the students representing different companies
participating in a six-month-long ‘Robo Warriors Legaue.’
"The primary objective of 'Tech X 2024' is to highlight
recent radical changes in the IT field and discuss the role of IT students in developing
essential life skills," said Bigyan Shrestha, Chairman of Softwarica
College.
In addition to the tech exhibits, the event will feature
food stalls, intellectual games, and electric vehicles built by students. With
free entry, the exhibition is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors.
