Softwarica to host Tech X

 Kathmandu, July 30

Softwarica College in Kathmandu is gearing up to host 'Tech X 2024', a technology exhibition set to run from July 30 to August 4.

The event will showcase cutting-edge projects in Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, and cyber security, all created by its student of Information Technology, informed the college in a statement.

The major highlights of the exhibition are robotic dogs, AI robots designed for library and airport management, and semi-automatic warehouse management technologies. A standout feature will be a special robot that is developed with an AI system to analyse password-cracking attempts by students.

According to the college, the exhibition will also feature over 30 innovative projects, such as the AI Robotic Teacher, Banking Robot, Tour Guide Robot, Robot Football, AI Assistant for Eye Hospital, Robotic Waiter, and Robot War.

Similarly, a significant event within the exhibition will be the launch of the 'Robot Warriors League 2024.' This league will see more than 40 robot battle bots built by the students representing different companies participating in a six-month-long ‘Robo Warriors Legaue.’

"The primary objective of 'Tech X 2024' is to highlight recent radical changes in the IT field and discuss the role of IT students in developing essential life skills," said Bigyan Shrestha, Chairman of Softwarica College.

In addition to the tech exhibits, the event will feature food stalls, intellectual games, and electric vehicles built by students. With free entry, the exhibition is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors.
