Kathmandu, Aug. 7
IME Pay, a Nepali mobile
wallet, and Xuno, a fintech company, have announced a strategic partnership to
introduce a revolutionary r2px (request-to-pay) solution for receiving
remittances in Nepal from the United States of America.
This collaboration marks
a significant step towards financial inclusion and empowers Nepali citizens
with greater access to global financial services, IME Pay informed in a
statement on Wednesday.
The new r2px solution
will allow beneficiaries in Nepal to receive remittances directly into their
IME Pay Wallets in real time.
This first-of-its-kind
feature empowers Nepali residents to easily request payments from individuals
or businesses in the USA, eliminating the need for traditional and often-cumbersome
remittance processes.
“We are thrilled to
partner with Xuno to offer this innovative r2px solution,” said Praveen Regmi,
CEO of IME Pay. “This aligns perfectly with our mission to empower Nepali
citizens and provide them with greater access to global financial services.
Xuno's user-friendly and secure platform will ultimately benefit Nepali
residents by making remittance receiving faster, easier, and more
transparent."
Likewise, Bal Krishna
Joshi, Founder of Xuno, said that the collaboration significantly expands
access to an equitable and secure way of conducting cross-border transactions.
"Together, we are
paving the way for a more inclusive and borderless financial future,” he said.
