Kathmandu, June 8: The government has launched the official logo of the
‘Visit Nepal Year 2020’ campaign.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari
unveiled the final logo at a meeting of the VNY 2020 Main Organising Committee
held on Friday. He also chairs the committee.
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) had carried out the exercise for the logo
creation.
It had published an open call to submit the logo according to the VNY
theme ‘Lifetime Experiences’ in April this year which was responded by about
145 entries, including from India and the United Kingdom.
Of those entries design submitted by Uddab Rimal from Bouddha of
Kathmandu district was selected as the best one, said Shradha Shrestha, Brand
Promotion and Corporate Marketing Manager at the NTB.
Rimal will receive a cash prize of Rs. 100,000.
She said that the logo truly depicted Nepal’s ethos and vibes, and stood
true to the message ‘Visit Nepal for lifetime experiences’.
The logo will be used as the main promotional branding of the VNY2020
campaign.
