CM Gurung invites US citizens to visit Nepal

Kathmandu, Dec. 4

Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung has discussed about expanding the bilateral trade between the US and Nepal with the Governor of Washington DC of the United States of America Jay Inslee.

A delegation led by Bhakta Bahadur Gurung, Director of Gandaki Rugs Industries, is now in Washington for trade promotion.

Inslee said that he had been promoting the conservation of Nepal's Himalayas and raising the issues in various forums in and outside the US. He expressed interest to support Nepali businesses and exports to the US.

CM Gurung said that Nepal had immense investment opportunities in hydroelectricity, agricutlure, clean energy, tourism, herbs and herbals and information technology, and urged the US investors to invest in these areas.

He also urged the US citizens to make a trip to Nepal during the Visit Nepal Year 2020. He also invited Governor Inslee to visit Nepal.

Coordinator of the trade delegation Bhakta Bahadur Gurung interacted with the Washington business community and urged them to invest in health service, education, information technology, handicraft including carpet and agriculture. He also said that there were chances of collaboration between the US and Nepali investors.
