CNI and Labour Ministry to collaborate in creaing employment

Kathmandu, Dec. 19

Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (MoLESS) and Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) have expressed their joint commitment to collaborate to create employment-friendly environment in the country.

At a meeting with the Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Rameshwror Ray Yadav at his office on Thursday, a delegation of CNI led by its president Satish Kumar More had expressed its commitment to enhance the mutual cooperation for the same.

More said that there was an environment of confidence between the entrepreneurs and labourers and their organisations so it was the time to focus on employment creation and skilled human resource development.

"Scarcity of skilled manpower has directly affected the new investment and industries in operation. So we are ready to forge a strong partnership with the ministry in creating employment and skilled human resources," he said.

The delegation handed over the recommendations to resolve the problems seen in the implementation of social security programme to Minister Yadav.

"The social security programme will be effective, if the government implements the given recommendations and there is the guarantee of return and financial security to the worker," More said.

Minister Yadav said that the better relationship between the industrialists and labourers would promote higher productivity which was the ultimate aim of the ministry.

He promised his support in resolving the practical challenges experienced in implementing the social security programme.
