MSLBSL to pay 17.5% bonus to shareholders

Kathmandu, Aug. 29

Mahila Sahayatra Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MSLBSL) has announced 17.5 per cent bonus for the fiscal year of 2018/19.

The seventh Annual General Meeting of the microfinance institution on Saturday has decided to distribute 10 per cent bonus share and 7.5 per cent cash dividend to the investors.

The meeting has also decided a special motion to increase the authorised capital of the company from Rs. 400 million from the current Rs. 200 million. After the distribution of the bonus share, the paid-up capital of the company will reach Rs. 133.1 million. It has Rs. 121 million paid-up capital now.

Earlier, the AGM was scheduled to be organised in April this year, but the coronavirus disturbed the meeting. Chairman of the company Amrit Charan Shrestha had presented the annual report at the meeting.

Mahila Sahayatra is catering its services to about 35,000 members through 34 branches.

By the end of the last fiscal year, the company had mobilised Rs. 334.1 million deposits and Rs. 1.41 billion loan.
