Xiaomi launches phone, band and earphones in Nepal

Xiaomi on Thursday announced the launch of its latest addition to their budget line-up of devices in Nepal with the Redmi 9C.

The brand also forayed into the wearables category for the first time with the introduction of the Mi Smart Band 5 in Nepal. A new product in the audio category - Redmi SonicBass Wireless Earphones was also announced.

Sourabh Kothari, Country General Manager- Xiaomi Nepal said “With each Redmi device, we are moving closer to making sure that technology is available for everyone. Our aim with Redmi 9C is to further democratise the technology we have developed for the budget segment. “

Redmi 9C is a brand-new entry-level smartphone which is equipped with a 6.53” Dot Drop display for an immersive viewing experience and a 5000mAh high-capacity battery that satisfies users who want to do more.

The phone features MediaTek Helio G35, an octa-core gaming chipset which can go up to 2.3GHz. It sports the AI triple camera that can quickly and easily capture crisp and clear images in a variety of situations. The device sports a 13MP main camera, 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro camera and an LED flash. The AI selfie camera is powered by a 5MP sensor.

Redmi 9C will be available in three colour variants: Sunrise Orange, Twilight Blue and Midnight Grey. The 2GB+32GB variant will be available for Rs. 12,999 while the 3GB+64GB variant will cost Rs. 14,999.

Likewise, Mi Smart Band 5 boasts a large 1.1” colour amoled display with 20 per cent more screen than its predecessor. Users can express their unique style by choosing from over 65 dynamic displays and six sleek band colors. With a vibrant display and sporty design, Band 5 makes fitness fashionable.

With 5 ATM water-resistant certification, the device can accompany users in and out of the water – from the pool to the track or the surf to the shower. With 11 exercise modes – including indoor cycling, elliptical, yoga, rowing machine, and jump rope – Mi Smart Band 5 captures the workout progress, no matter how you move.

The bank is priced at Rs. 4,499.

Similarly, Redmi Wireless Earphones have a sleek, minimalistic, matt finish design with magnetic earbuds for a hassle-free experience. It is lightweight and crafted to rest perfectly on the neck.
