Kathmandu, Sept. 18
Saurya Airlines has announced its service resumption
with three CRJ 200 aircraft after the prolonged shutdown.
It will start its service at five different domestic
destinations from next week.
"We are going to resume service at five trunk
route destinations," said Dipak Pokharel, chairman of the company.
The destinations are Chandragadhi of Jhapa,
Biratnagar of Morang, Bhairahawa of Rupandehi, Nepalgunj of Banke and Dhangadhi
of Kailali. The company will operate total 10 flights to these destinations a
day. One and three flights will be conducted to Chandragadhi and Biratnagar
respectively while two flights each will be operated in other destinations.
The company has started its service six years ago
and forged a partnership with Indian Kuber Group about one and a half years
ago. The Indian company has bought stakes in the company with a target to buy
10 new aircraft and move ahead aggressively.
The airlines had two CRJ 200 Jet Engine aircraft
made by the Canadian Bombardier company and it has added another same aircraft
during the lockdown.
"We will resume the service with a hope that
the travelers and travel agencies will support us. The company will soon add
four ATR planes to its fleet," said Pokharel.
He said that the company would strictly follow the
health protocols issued by the government. "Passengers' health is topmost
priority. Our service will be conducted accordingly," he said.
