Agrawal, Raut elected unanimously in FNCCI

By A Staff Reporter

Kathmandu, Nov. 19

Two members – Sandip Agrawal and Rajendra Raut – have been unanimously elected as the working committee member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).

Both of them are from the Chandra Prasad Dhakal's panel. Dhakal is contesting for the post of the Senior Vice President of the largest business organisation in the country.

After completing a three-year term, Senior VP is automatically elevated to the post of the President of the FNCCI so Senior VP is the highest post to be elected in the election.

Raut is elected as the Central Committee Member from State 1 and Agrawal from associate - Binational Chambers of Commerce and Industries.

Raut hails from Biratnagar, served as the executive member of the Morang Byapar Sangthan and is the Vice President of FNCCI, State 1. Dhakal has taken it as an important victory as Morang is the home district of his competitor Kishore Kumar Pradhan.

Likewise, Agrawal is the President of Nepal-Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Thursday was the last day for the nomination of the election candidates. As there was no nomination from the Pradhan panel, the two were elected unanimously.

The FNCCI is organising its 54th Annual General Meeting and elections on November 26-27.
