Kathmandu, Sept. 17
Minister for Foreign
Affairs, Dr. Narayan Khadka is travelling to the United Kingdom on Sunday to
attend the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, informed the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in a statement on Saturday.
During his stay in
London, the minister will attend the Lying-in-State of the Queen and the State
Funeral Service, sign the Official Condolence Book at Lancaster House, attend new
King Charles’ reception at the Buckingham Palace and the reception to be hosted
by the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of
the United Kingdom, James Cleverly.
The queen died on 8
September. More than 500 leaders from the countries across the world are
expected to attend the funeral of the Queen.
The Foreign Minister will
return to Kathmandu on Wednesday, September 21.
