Kathmandu, Sept. 14
Nabil Bank has launched 'Nabil Gen Alpha' – an app-based
scheme for children aged below 18 years and their guardians on Wednesday.
Brand Ambassador of Gen Alpha Prensa Regmi, chairman of the
bank, Upendra Poudyal, and Chief Executive Officer Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana launched
the scheme at a programme.
According to the bank, guardians can create daily routines
for the kids in the app while the children can earn marks for each task they
complete. Those marks will be saved in the linked bank account as money.
"We aim to teach children about the importance of
saving and life skills as well as help the guardians in their daily routines,"
said Dhungana.
Under this scheme, existing and new customers of the bank
can automatically transfer amount to children's bank account.
The app can be downloaded from Play Store and Apple Store.
Earlier on Sunday, the bank launched eight branches at
different locations across the country. The branches were opened in Mangalbazaar,
Ilam, Mulpani, Surunga, Bhagwan Pau, Sankhu, Kakarbhitta and Bhandara.
With this, the number of the bank's branches has reached
233. Likewise, it has 254 ATMs, 170 international correspondent banking
relationships and numerous terminals and remittance agents across the country.
