FM Secretary leaves for NY

Kathmandu, Sept. 18

Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal left for New York on Sunday leading the Nepali delegation to the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) being held at the UN Headquarters in New York.

While in New York, Paudyal will address the General Debate of the 77th UNGA under the theme of ‘A watershed moment: Transformative solutions to interlocking challenges’, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a statement on Sunday.

The Foreign Secretary will participate in the high-level meetings on the side-lines of the UNGA and hold bilateral meetings with the high officials of the UN.

The 77th session of the UNGA has begun on September 13 while the high-level General Debate will be held from September20.
