In a meeting with Yukiya Amano,
Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at his office
at the Singha Durbar, Mahara thanked the international agency for its
contribution to energy and health sector in Nepal
He appreciated the technical
support that IAEA provided to the BP Memorial Cancer Hospital of Chitwan.
Amano said that the IAEA was developing new
protocol for atomic defense.
“Area of cooperation in the
atomic energy will be expanded after the implementation of new protocol,” he
said.
Amano also called on Prime
Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in the afternoon.
